This verse describes what God has done in the last 2 months!
- Two weddings! Two new son-in-laws!
- More work on the front of our church, including a beautiful sign - "Hope Ministries - Fields of Harvest Church"
- A two-week trip to the US to visit churches in Texas and California and to visit Scott's parents and family. We celebrated his mother's 85th birthday - his father is now a young 91!
- A Very special time in California visiting with Nick Vujicic (Life Without Limbs Ministry) and his family.
- A fund was started to raise money for our first medical boat. Thank you, Fields of Harvest Church in Texas!
- Coming home to Castanhal, after our trip, to find that the church was well taken care of in our absence by Marcal and Denis and our daughters.
Adriano, 28, is a young man who walked up to the front of the church one morning last week saying, "Why do so many people live without hope?" As I shared the gospel with him, he pleaded with me saying, "Please help me get saved - I'm so tired of living in this world of sin." Adriano gave his life to the Lord that same day in our home meetings. We are praying that he continues to grow in the Lord.
Thank you so much, each of you who participated this last month with offerings for the church. Each gift is a blessing. Your donations this coming month will be added to what the congregation here can give of their time and finances to start work on the nursery and bathrooms. Our goal is to have the church in Castanhal completely finished by the end of the year, so that we can begin concentrating on the Bujaru river property and planting river churches. Many singles and couples in the church here already want to go with us on river ministry trips. They are the future missionaries that God is calling.
