Fields of Harvest Church
Pastors David and Martha Cochran began this ministry in 1985 as La Porte Worship Center. In 2000, with direction from the Lord, they changed the name to Fields of Harvest Church.
In November 2001 the ministry bought a two story log cabin, formally know as Murray's Restaurant. With a lot of construction and wisdom from the Lord, the kitchens were transformed into offices, the dining room into a sanctuary, an overflow room and coffee bar area, and the upstairs banquet room into our children's/ youth ministry. We have grown tremendously over the years and have seen God do more than we could have ever imagined. We give Him all the glory and praise!
At Fields of Harvest Church our desire is to lead the lost to Jesus Christ for family Membership. Guide them into Christ-like Maturity. Equip them for their Ministry in the church and go to the fields for the Mission in the world, in order to Magnify God's name.
We believe a great commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will grow a great church.
The Great Commandment: "Jesus said, 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart ...soul...and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22:36-4
The Great Commission: "Jesus said, 'Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19-20
